Bumpy Week for Portland Real Estate. Ice, Trees and Power Outages

Ice, road closures and power outages pushed many of our numbers down when we expected to see them up.  New Listings were Down by 34%.  The number of Contracts Signed by Buyers and Sellers were Down by 38%Lockbox Opens (a measure of buyers viewing homes with their agents) were Down by 40%.
The Average Sale Price was Up by 7.7% over Last Year at this time.  The number of homes available for buyers to purchase slid by another 1%.
Mortgage Rates Held Firm at 6.375% (best case scenario) for the 30-year fixed mortgage.  The yield on the 10-Year Treasury continues to inch up. A matching mortgage rate increase may be around the corner.
