Portland Metro's Real Estate Market is Back in the Black, but is Buyer Demand Starting to Wane?

  • The Average Sale Price Rose 3% vs the previous week and Landed 0.8% HigherThan the same week Last Year.  This is the first time in about 10 weeks that the average sale price has been higher than last year's number. .

  • Lockbox Opens (one measure of buyer demand/activity) continue to Outpaced last year's activity despite interest rates consistently above 6%.

  • The number of New Pending Deals ended up with a respectable number this past week but Fell for the 2nd Week in a Row - maybe forecasting a new trend.
